How We Work / Process

A process built around your footage and your deadline.

From your brief through edit, review and final delivery. A clear, calm post production process designed to keep your project moving without surprises.

The workflow

Five steps,
no friction.

  1. 01

    Brief and footage handover

We start with a short brief covering goals, audience, deliverables and deadline. Once we agree on scope, you upload your footage to a shared folder. We confirm everything is there before the timer starts.

  2. 02

    First cut

We assemble a first cut around your story, pacing and pacing. You see a watermarked review link with frame accurate comments. No surprises, no creative left turns. Just the edit we said we would deliver.

  3. 03

    Revision rounds

Revisions are structured into clear rounds. You leave comments on the review link, we work through them in one pass, you see the next version. Most projects settle in two to three rounds.

  4. 04

    Finishing with sound and colour

Once the edit is locked, we move into finishing. Sound is mixed, levels are balanced, dialogue is cleaned. Colour is graded for consistency and tone, with a primary and secondary pass on every shot.

  5. 05

    Final delivery

You receive your final files in the formats your project needs. Web, social, broadcast or festival, plus any source files agreed up front. The folder stays available for follow up exports and cutdowns.

FAQ

Common
questions.

What is your turnaround?
Turnaround depends on the project. Short form social clips usually land within a few business days. Long form edits, podcasts and brand films are quoted with a clear delivery date up front. Festival deadlines and launch windows are built into the schedule from day one.
How many revisions are included?
Most projects include two to three rounds of revisions. We confirm the exact number in your quote. Revision rounds are structured, so changes are consolidated and the edit moves forward cleanly rather than going in circles.
How do I send my footage?
Footage can be sent via Google Drive, Dropbox, WeTransfer or Frame.io. For larger jobs we set up a dedicated folder and a simple naming structure. If you are local to Ballarat we can also accept a hard drive in person.
What formats do you deliver?
We deliver to whatever spec your project needs. Web ready H.264 or H.265 masters, vertical 9:16 for social, ProRes for broadcast and festival deliverables, plus separate audio stems and project files on request.
How do we get started?
Send us a brief through the contact form. We come back with a workflow, a timeline and a quote. Once approved, we open the folder, you upload your footage and the first cut is on its way.
